HUGE SUCCESS OF 4TH WOMEN`S RACE DEPARTING FROM ALCAIDESA MARINA

On Friday 30 August, more than eight hundred people took part in the non-competitive race organised by APRON (the Association of Oncological Problems) that set off from Alcaidesa Marina. In addition to the 5K route, there was a pre-race warm-up event for all audiences.
The main goal of the race was awareness-raising, empathy and help for cancer patients. All takings from the event were donated to the Association so that it can help patients in the region.
The non-competitive race itself set out to promote sports and a healthy lifestyle. Supporters of the event included the City Council of La Linea, the Regional Council of Cádiz, the Local Police, the council departments of Sports, Health, Equality and Citizen Engagement, the La Linea Athletics Club, the Sierra Carbonera Sports Club, the Bay of Algeciras Port Authority, Club Los Enmonaos and Alcaidesa Marina.
