ALCAIDESA MARINA RECEIVES THE YACHT RAFAEL VERDERA, CONSIDERED TO BE THE OLDEST ACTIVE BOAT OF THE SPANISH FLEET

Alcaidesa Marina is pleased to welcome the classic sailing boat, Rafael Verdera. According to its owner & Capitan, Mikel Arizmendi, she is the oldest remaining Spanish boat in active service. She has been sailing since 1841, hence she has 172 years of history. Her base port is in Palma de Mallorca, from where she is commonly employed in excursions throughout the Balearic Islands. With the arrival of winter, Mikel, his wife & two children, who form part of the crew together with 2 other sailors, have decided to set sail for the milder winters of the Canary Islands and along route have opted to visit our Marina which had been recommended to them by previous visitors.
