CLUB DE MAR SEEKS A LEGEND

A jury will grant a throphy for the boat that best represents the spirit of classics in the Illes Balears Clàssics regatta, this year from August 10th to 13th.
Classic regattas are just that: regattas where the participants, or at least the leading ones, want to win and will spare no human or technical resources to achieve that. But, aside from the competition, they contribute to preserve unique sailing pieces as well.

And that is what Club de Mar, the regatta organizer, thinks too and the reason why they have created a prize called 'Legends of the sea' with which they will award – says Manuel Nadal, the entity's commodore- 'the participating boat that best represents the spirit of classic sailing'.

The trophy, awarded by a jury of experts, will be incorporated in the 2016 edition, from August 10th to 13th in the waters of the Bay of Palma and organized by Club de Mar, the Spanish and Balearic sailing federations, the Balearic government and the Royal National Cruisers Association (RANC).
